Mafia

How it works

1. 1

   Set up the game

   • Play with 5–12 people.
   • The app randomly assigns 1 Mafia for 5–6 players, 2 for 7–9, or 3 for 10–12—plus one Detective, one Doctor, and Townspeople.

   Reveal roles

   • Each player privately holds their card to see their role.
   • Mafia members also see their teammates.

   Resolve the night

   • Pass the device to every living player.
   • Each Mafia member secretly chooses a non-Mafia target; the most-selected target is the victim, and a tied Mafia vote produces no victim.
4. 4

   Use special roles

   • The Doctor protects one player, including themself, but cannot protect the same player on consecutive nights.
   • The Detective checks one other living player and learns whether they are Mafia or Town-aligned.
   • If the Doctor protects the victim, nobody dies.
5. 5

   Discuss and vote

   • Announce the morning outcome, then discuss.
   • Each living player privately votes for someone else; the highest unique total is eliminated, while a tied vote eliminates nobody.
6. 6

   Check the winner

   • Town wins when no Mafia remain.
   • Mafia wins when their number is at least equal to all remaining non-Mafia players.
