What is Psych!?

Psych! is a social trivia game built around believable lies. A question has one true answer, but every player writes a convincing fake. The group votes for the answer they think is real. You score for spotting the truth and for fooling other players with your bluff.

Players

3–12 players

Round

10–30 minutes

Device

One shared phone, tablet, or computer

How it works

  1. 1Choose players and a five, ten, or fifteen-question game.
  2. 2Pass the device so everyone writes a unique false answer.
  3. 3Vote privately, reveal the truth, and score correct guesses and successful bluffs.

Example round

Ask: “Which animal makes cube-shaped droppings?” Players could submit rabbit, llama, or goat. Mix those bluffs with the real answer—wombat—then let everyone vote. Players score for choosing the truth and for every vote their bluff earns.

Write a convincing bluff

  • Keep it short and match the style of the question.
  • Make it plausible, not obviously funny or obscure.
  • Avoid copying another player’s wording.

From setup to results

  1. Set the question count

Choose players and a five, ten, or fifteen-question game.

  2. Write convincing bluffs

Pass the device so everyone writes a unique false answer.

  3. Find truth & score

Vote privately, reveal the truth, and score correct guesses and successful bluffs.

One-device setup and troubleshooting

A phone, tablet, or computer is enough. Keep the device charged, use a readable screen size, and pass it in a consistent direction. If a round is interrupted, use the in-game menu to resume or start a fresh game; do not refresh during a protected handoff.

Quick answers

Can I submit the real answer?

No. The game blocks the truth and duplicate bluffs.

How does scoring work?

Earn two points for finding the truth and one point for each player fooled by your bluff.

Are votes private?

Yes. Each player votes during a protected device handoff.
